I Heart Brooklyn Girls pin-up calendar

The I Heart Brooklyn Girls girls have launched their third annual pin-up calendar.
The 2009 calendar is a queer take on pin-ups from the 1940s and 50s, with 12 ladies posing in vintage garments, lingerie and swimwear.
According to the I Heart… team, ‘every Brooklyn Girls calendar features not impossible females but real live queer femmes you’d see around the neighborhood.’
The calendar aims to ‘redress stereotypes of what pinup calendars - and lesbians - are about, both on and underneath the surface.’
The I Heart Brooklyn Girls calendar costs $12.
10% of the calendar’s proceeds will be donated to The Lesbian Herstory Archives, an organisation that preserves records of lesbian history to make available to future generations.
