Next Lesbilicious Comedy night: Laugh Out Loud

April 10th, 2009

The next comedy night in Newcastle upon Tyne from Lesbilicious will be slightly different. Instead of lesbian comedians for lesbians and their friends, we’ll be presenting gay and gay-friendly male and female comedians for lesbians, gay men and their friends, and we’re calling it Laugh Out Loud.

Don’t worry, we’re still putting on Lesbilicious Comedy nights every two months or so, the only difference is that we’ll be throwing in the odd Laugh Out Loud event too!

Performing at the next Laugh Out Loud on Thursday 28 May 2009:

Paul Foot

One of the comedy world’s true eccentrics, Paul Foot is a surreal and flamboyant oddball whose charming ramblings turn the mundane into the magical.

As well as winning the BBC New Comedy Award and Daily Telegraph Open Mic Award, Paul performs regularly on the Paramount Comedy channel.

“An absolute comic genius. He’s going to be a superstar.” - Attitude Magazine
“A hilarious combination of pedantry, bluff and surreal non-sequiturs.” - The Scotsman

Chris Neill

Chris is a deliciously bitchy raconteur, a self-confessed snob who’s as camp as Kenneth Williams and Julian Clary gossiping across a row of tents.

Chris’ stand-up success with sharp-tongued, outrageous anecdotes follows a decade as a panellist and scriptwriter for BBC radio comedy shows, including Just a Minute and Quote Unquote.

“An expert storyteller with split-second comic timing”- Independent on Sunday
“Fabulous and clever” – Time Out

Barbara Nice

Mrs. Barbara Nice is your average Stockport housewife and mother of five who’s given up the domestic bliss of tupperware and Poundstretcher for the comedy circuit – not that her husband would know, he thinks she’s at the bingo.

With the affectionate attitude of a playgroup leader at a wild Iggy Pop concert, no one can cajole the audience to participate in hare-brained stunts like Barbara.

Barbara was first spotted by Peter Kay in 1998, and her alter-ego Janice Connolly has since been a regular on a number of comedy series including Phoenix Nights, Thin Ice and That Peter Kay Thing.

“Catch her before she goes stratospheric” The Scotsman Guide
” Excellent… has the audience eating out of her hands within seconds” Manchester Evening News

  • Hi Guys

Just to say, do you mean the 28th May for the next comedy night, not the 26th?

    Thanks

  • Oops, yes we meant the 28th not the 26th. The change is made now. Thanks for noticing Gill!
