Are you ‘Queer of the Year’?

The city of Montreal in Canada has launched a competition to find the worldwide ‘queer of the year’. The winner will take part in Montreal’s Pride Parade and enjoy a VIP treatment package worth $4,000 CAD.
To enter the competition, participants must create a one-minute video explaining why they would be the perfect contestant.
Entrants will be judged on personality, creativity, community involvement, ‘fab factor’, lifestyle, background, showmanship, sex appeal, ’smarts’ and social media popularity.
The top five finalists will be invited to visit Montreal for an all expenses-paid week, where they’ll explore the city and compete in a variety of Big Brother style challenges and activities to be filmed and broadcast to website viewers. The finalist with the most public votes, combined with the most points from the judges will then be crowned ‘Queer of the Year’.
