Gay holocaust memorial vandalised, again

Holocaust memorial December 17th, 2008

Germany’s memorial to gay victims of the holocaust has been vandalised for the second time in four months.

Berlin police say that a window on the video memorial has been smashed.

The window allows visitors to see inside the concrete memorial and view a looped video of a same-sex couple kissing.

The memorial was installed in May 2008. This is the second time the window has been broken - the first time was in August 2008.

An estimated 15,000 gay men were condemned to concentration camps by the Nazis during World War II.
