‘Jewish terrorist’ arrested in Tel Aviv LGBT centre shooting incident

A 37-year-old Israeli man has been arrested in connected with the shooting at a Tel Aviv LGBT centre in August 2009.
Yaakov Teitel was arrested and charged with participating in a number of attacks against Palestinians, Messianic Jews, left wing academics and homosexuals.
Teitel allegedly launched bomb attacks on police officers protecting gay pride marches in Jerusalem, and he regarded the decision by the Juraselm authorities to move gay pride marches off the streets and into stadiums as a validation of his “divine signals.”
Teitel has confessed to shooting dead 2 people and injuring 10 at the Tel Aviv LGBT centre, but police believe that Teitel was not the shooter, and suspect that he may be trying to cover for someone else.
Micky Rosenfeld, an Israeli police spokesman, described Teitel as a “Jewish terrorist”, adding: “He was deeply involved in terrorism in all different levels.”
