In 2006, Canada’s second most famous indie lesbian band broke up. It was a big surprise - The Organ had finally been noticed by the press, they had released a couple of well-received singles and by all accounts were on the verge of being The Next Big Thing. Then they broke up, with no explanation. Now, 2 years later, singer Katie Sketch has finally explained what happened.

Beth Ditto has been voted the UK’s favourite magazine cover girl.

Ditto, singer of band Gossip, is a lesbian and an advocate of queer rights. She appeared nude on the front cover of the NME in June 2007, and was also named as the ‘coolest person in rock’ by the magazine. (more…)
