Olivia, the lesbian-focused travel company has launched its new project: a large-scale lesbian housing project.

Olivia Communities will be a 334-unit housing estate in Tuscon, Arizona, USA.

Although anyone can purchase a home in the gated community, the company is targeting lesbians.

The complex is made up of 15 three-story residential buildings, which contain one, two or three-bedroom apartments. The enclosure will also include a clubhouse, gym, two heated swimming pools, dog park, fitness centre and volleyball pit.

There are also plans for a full-time events coordinator who will bring in live entertainment and coordinate tea dances and other parties. Group excursions will be arranged to nearby locations like Las Vegas and Mexico.

Judy Dlugacz, president and founder of Olivia Companies, told 365gay.com that the majority of women to have put down the $10,000 deposits on the condos are in the 55-70 age group.

  • I don’t like the sound of this. It sounds a bit creepy…

  • It may sound creepy…but theoretically it could be a good idea…if the main deposits so far are from those aged 50+ it could develop into a retirement village for like minded soles and when has that ever been a bad thing?
