A new iPhone app which aims to raise awareness about lesbian and gay rights has been released.

The game challenges the player with 3D arcade puzzles centred around a virtual car valet business. Pitched as Tetris meets Diner Dash, it features two gay central characters whose sexuality is central to the storyline as players progress through the game.

US mobile games firm Factory Games, who launched the app, said they wanted it to make a statement about gay rights.

“We set out to not only create a game that is an absolute blast to play, with incredible visuals and top notch audio, but we also wanted to make a social statement that gays and lesbians should have the same marital rights as heterosexuals,” said Andrew Littlefield, head of Factory Games.

Valet Hustler is available now for iPhone for 59p. Some of the proceeds from the app will be donated to the Human Rights Campaign.
