Ellen Degeneres is the tenth most powerful woman in the world, according to a list compiled by Forbes magazine.

Michelle Obama was named the most powerful woman in Forbes’ Power Women 2010 list. Irene Rosenfeld, Chief Executive of Kraft Foods was at number two, and Oprah Winfrey was number three.

Other than Ellen, the only openly gay or bisexual women in the list are Lady Gaga at number seven, Angelina Jolie at number 27, political commentator Rachel Maddow at number 50 and Icelandic prime minister Johanna Sigurdardottir at number 80.

The only British person in the list is the Queen, at number 41.
