A networking group for lesbian and bisexual women is being launched next week.
The Mint Network, which is designed for professional gay women, is holding a launch event in London on Thursday 18 February.
According to co-founder Nicola Chubb, Mint has been created to “bring aspirational women together and give access to each others’ knowledge, skills and talents”.
She said: “The network provides a platform for members to enhance their careers and businesses through advertising and by linking them up to other like-minded professional women.
“Needless to say with all types of networking, relationships blossom - business, friendship and even romance.”
Members who join the network are offered regular social events at private members’ clubs, featuring high-profile female speakers.
They will also have access to Mint’s business directory and its accommodation links for women travelling in the UK and abroad.
According to Chubb, 25% of ticket sales for the event will be donated to gay rights group Stonewall.
The evening is being sponsored by companies including Spa at Harvey Nichols, Daniel Hersheson Salon, J Sheekey Oyster Bar and Girl Bar Dinah Store. Prizes from the sponsors will be available on the night.
For more information on membership, or to attend the launch party, which is being held at Willa’s in Mayfair from 6.30pm, visit the network’s website.
