Icon“I get hundreds of letters about my bisexuality” – Jessie J

Bisexual pop singer Jessie J has spoken about coming out as bi, in a new interview for Glamour magazine.

“It’s important for me to be open and honest [about my bisexuality],” she said. “I get hundreds of letters from people about it.”

“I never wanted to be called a hypocrite, but I didn’t want my sexuality to become a gimmick. There are lots of people who go ‘Oh, I’m bisexual.’ No. You’ve kissed your friend.”

Jessie, who had her first sexual experience with a girl when she was 17, says she never experienced any problems coming out to her family. “My mum and dad have known for years and were super cool, my sisters made jokes about it because they were married with kids and I was the rebellious one. I had a girlfriend and tattoos, I was like… hardcore!”

what an idiot! so you date girls, and have tattoos! who doesn’t? why do we care. This celebrity gossip trash is really ruining the world.

Well, that’s really amazing for you, Alana, that everyone around you has same sex partners, but there’s a very good reason that you’re on a news site for women who love women, and it’s because we’re in a severe minority.

So get over yourself and appreciate how far LGBT liberation has come that “celebrity gossip trash” can now include people coming out of their own accord.

I read Alanas comment as more a scoff at Jessie.Js attitude, if we want all sexual choices to be normal, glamourising it as hardcore (as opposed to?? normal?)& therefore different keeps it different
