Women’s Hour can be heard every Monday night from 7pm – 8pm. Loose Lesbians is aired on the first Monday of every month from 7pm – 9pm and is hosted by four local lesbians Carrie, Mary, Dot & Sam. The show aims engage listeners in a chat and debate about current issues affecting the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities of the North East.

Presenter of Women’s Hour and co-presenter of Loose Lesbians, Sam Hawkins said “We are really pleased to be giving women a voice on Pride Radio. The response has been amazing and we are keen to get the word out further so that more women can listen and get involved.”

Pride Radio North East plans to expand the schedule further and would like to broadcast on FM permanently. The station is depending on community support and being granted a license by OFCOM to make this a possibility.
