Kelly Rowland pulls out of Manchester Pride

Former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland has cancelled her appearance at Manchester Pride, just two weeks after the line-up was announced.

The singer - who had been due to headline the event on the Saturday night - has apologised, but neither she nor Manchester Pride have explained the late cancellation.

Jackie Crozier, festival manager of Manchester Pride, said: “In circumstances beyond our control, Kelly Rowland will no longer be performing at this year’s Pride celebrations. Our disappointment will no doubt be shared by many of the festivals fans.

“Despite this setback the show must go on. We still have an exciting Big Weekend line-up confirmed as part of Pride’s ten-day celebrations. And of course, we hope to find a replacement for Kelly in time for the festival.”
