Lilly Allen supports gay rights… but not Perez Hilton

Musician Lilly Allen has spoken about her support for gay equality and her own lesbian experiences in a recent interview with GT magazine.
“I just feel you have no right to hate anyone because of how they’re born,” she said. “I think if you’re a human being with a heart in your chest, you’re the same as everyone else. “I’ve grown up around gay people, black people, adulterers, drug addicts, and I don’t treat anyone differently.”
Lilly revealed that despite being straight she did once have a lesbian experience: “I did once snog identical twins in San Diego. I was on the sofa and I had them both. I was dancing on one of them. That’s the only time, but I have lesbian dreams a lot.”
Lilly also criticised celebrity blogger Perez Hilton for being misogynistic: “I find him quite annoying. As a gay man you should be championing young girls that are going out there and doing their own thing and not slamming them for owning their sexuality.”
“Gay people, black people, adulterers, drug addicts?” Talk about lumping unsuspecting minorities in with a couple of not-so-nice traits to round off an ‘all a bit of something exotic, bad-ass or different’ generalization.
