New Tegan and Sara album released
October 27th, 2009
Tegan and Sara’s new album Sainthood is released today (27 Oct 2009).
Sainthood is Tegan and Sara’s sixth full-length album, and the first on which they have written lyrics together. They used the concept of sainthood, inspired by a Leonard Cohen song, as a basis for songs of devotion and longing.
Three books are being released in conjunction with Sainthood, entitled ‘On’, ‘In’ and ‘At. The books use photographs and writings to chronicle Tegan and Sara’s year of creating the new album.
The first single released from Sainthood is ‘Hell’, a song about Tegan’s neighbourhood in Vancouver and her unrequited feelings for a girl.
The video for ‘Hell’ was directed by Jamie Travis, who also directed the video for ‘Back in Your Head’.

A review of Sainthood will be appearing soon on Lesbilicious. The album is currently available for £7.98 from Amazon.

Having no credit card I can’t order it on line and I doubt the stores here in Sweden have it yet. But the album is available on Spotify and every time it’s played T&S gets paid. Much better than dl from pirate sites. You can search on Spotify or just use this play list I just made: http://open.spotify.com/user/caisa/playlist/0wulOKSCGYOKY8PS9VlM0l
