Pink, Lohan and Ronson slam homophobic, women-hating Palin

Pink September 16th, 2008

Sarah Palin’s not getting much love from the entertainment industry recently. Hot on the heels of Tina Fey’s skit on Saturday Night Live comes criticism of the Vice President candidate from Lindsey Lohan, Sam Ronson and singer Pink.

Lindsay Lohan’s Myspace blog has a lengthy attack on Palin’s politics. The post, signed by both Lindsay and Sam, calls Palin a “narrow minded, media obsessed homophobe” and points to an Associated Press story about Palin’s support of converting homosexuality with the power of prayer.

“Is it a sin to be gay?” asked Lohan and Ronson. “Should it be a sin to be straight? Or to use birth control? Or to have sex before marriage? Or even to have a child out of wedlock?”

“I [sic] find it quite interesting that a woman who now is running to be second in command of the United States, only 4 years ago had aspirations to be a television anchor. Which is probably all she is qualified to be… Also interesting that she got her passport in 2006.”

“Women have come a long way in the fight to have the choice over what we do with our bodies,” they add. “And its frightening to see that a woman in 2008 would negate all of that.”

Singer Pink shares Lohan and Ronson’s fears. “This woman hates women,” Pink told AOL news website PopEater.

“She is not a feminist. She is not the woman that’s going to come behind Hillary Clinton and do anything that Hillary Clinton would’ve been capable of … I can’t imagine overturning Roe vs. Wade. She’s not of this time. The woman terrifies me.”

Pink added, “If I were writing a letter to Sarah Palin it would be a lot of whys and hows,” “Who are you? Do you know? Why do you hate animals? Please point out Iraq on a map.”
