Queering the Pitch
March 18th, 2008
Fill your ears with some filthygorgeous alternaqueer music noise…
Queering the Pitch is a strange beast - a three-day mini-festival that takes place in London, Manchester and Brighton (the three queerest cities in England, what a coincidence). Showcasing everything from lovelorn acoustic pop to garage punk and filthy beats, it’s everything Kylie wouldn’t want you to listen to.
The London ‘Pitch is first up on the calendar. It’s 3 gigs, each costing a fiver:
Tuesday 25th March 8pm @ Bristroteque - acoustic night
Ruth Theodore - William Nein - K Anderson - Marie Tueje - Roxy Rawson
Wednesday 26th March 8pm @ Bethnal Green Working Mens’ Club - cabaret
The Lorraine Bowen Experience - Bourgeois & Maurice - Slapper - The Dancing Brodericks
Thursday 27th March 8pm @ Barden’s Boudoir - band night
Helen’s Evil Twin - The Gadsdens - The Patty Winter’s Show, and Club Sensible DJs
See www.queeringthepitch.co.uk for tickets.

I’m off to see this at Manchester for QueerupNorth… the promoter is really keen to take this anywhere there is an interest.
