Actress and singer Queen Latifah has confirmed, once again, that she is not a lesbian.

Speaking to Essence magazine about the persistent rumours about her sexuality, Latifah said “They want to make up stories and make me gay all the time…. it’s like, ‘keep running with it’.

“I’ve definitely been annoyed by it, but I learned a long time ago that it was pointless to say anything.”

In September 2008 Queen Latifah admitted that she had almost called her new album ‘The L Word’ as a joke response to the lesbian rumours.
