God bless the internet. Once upon a time you had to go to the bad part of town and be letched at by gawping men, only to realise that the only things on offer in the ‘adult shop’ were a few sticky videos and a tub of ancient lube.
Now the only limits to your sex toy shopping are your imagination, your budget and your internet connection.
Arguably the best, and certainly the most famous women-owned, lesbian-positive sex toy shop is Sh!. They have a wonderfully welcoming and friendly shop in London (which men are only allowed in as guests of female customers) and they also have a website selling their own-brand silicone dildos, vibrators, harnesses and everything else you could imagine. Sh! is certainly lovely, but also unfortunately expensive.
For the most stunningly beautiful sex toys you’ll ever see, head to Babes n Horny. However, as with Sh!, with great quality comes great price tags.
A more budget-conscious option is LoveHoney, which is friendly and informative, if depressingly heterosexual in its assumptions about what you might be doing with whom.
