Things shaped like vaginas
July 24th, 2008There’s more to being a lesbian than sex, and there’s more to sex than vaginas. However, what self-respecting lesbian/bi lady could resist 3 foods, 2 soft furnishings and a mode of transport shaped liked vaginas? Not you, that’s for sure!
1. Vagina Mango
Mangos are delicious, but they can be a pain to peel. Plus, most of the time they don’t even look much like vulvas. Thank golly, then, for this mango peeler.

2. Vagina squid ring
Do squids have vaginas? Probably not. And if they do, and if that’s what they look like, it’s time to go vegetarian.

3. Vagina cake

This is no accidental food-vagina: this is the real deal, a true vagina cake.
It’s got the pink vulva, the red swirly bleeding womb background, the bow tie, even the bowl of spare clitorises.

4. Vagina couch
After a hard day baking and consuming vagina, why not sit back and relax on your very own giant vagina. Well not your actual vagina, that would be a difficult manoeuvre. Buy this one instead, as found on Craigslist:
“For sale - beautiful pink ‘vagina couch’ that I made in art school and no longer have space for. The couch has some scuffmarks and stains around the bottom from being moved, but otherwise is in excellent shape.”
5. Vagina Bike

Relive your own birth and ride the city in style, with Finnish artist Mimosa Pale’s vagina pedicab. This vagina is Mimosa’s protest of a world she thinks is too ‘man-parts-centric’.
(But is it just us, or does it look more like a Scooby Doo monster?)

6. Vagina bags
“You can never have too many vulvas!” beams The Velvet Vulva website. (Amen to that, right?)
This website sells bags in the shape of “the sacred portal to the feminine temple’.
According to the website:
“A Velvet Vulva might become your everyday bag; it might always stay on your altar; or it might be acquired for special occasions.
“Each has sumptuous fabric labia and a beautiful button clitoris.
“As in life, Velvet Vulvas come in various sizes, shapes, and styles. You will know when you have found a good fit!
“Naturally, what you put in your Velvet Vulva can have tremendous symbolic and magickal [sic] significance.
“In whatever way the velvet vulva is respectfully employed, it will express and honour the Goddess within and without.”

so that’s what they look like…
