Actress De Rossi to change name to DeGeneres

Ellen DeGeneres’ wife Portia de Rossi is to legally change her name to DeGeneres.
De Rossi signed the papers to change her name to Portia Lee James DeGeneres in March, but the request was only filed with Los Angeles Superior Court on 6th August.
Her name change is expected to be made official after a court hearing in September.
The 37-year-old actress, who has starred in TV shows including Arrested Development and Ally McBeal, married comedian DeGeneres in California in August 2008.
She was born Amanda Lee Rogers, but legally changed her name to Portia De Rossi aged 15.
