Guinevere Turner cancels YLAF appearance

Guinevere Turner October 20th, 2008

US actress and writer Guinevere Turner has cancelled her appearance at the York Lesbian Arts Festival, just days before the festival is due to start.

In a statement released today, the YLAF organisers said: “We have just been informed that Guinevere Turner is unfortunately unable to attend YLAF08. She has wished the festival well. We are sorry if this news disappoints any festival-goers, but we’re confident that this year’s festival will entertain and delight first-timers and regulars alike.

“More than 65 artists will be appearing over the four-day, ten-event festival and it is this combination of diverse, talented and exciting artists that makes the festival so special. We are working hard behind the scenes to bring you literature, music, comedy, queerlesque, DJs and workshops, and look forward to welcoming you to YLAF 08 very soon.”
