“I was a giant lesbian” - Megan Fox

Actress Megan Fox has revealed in an interview that she was a lesbian for six months - but only because she was sick of being so pretty.
In an interview with GQ, Fox appears to confuse being a lesbian with being ugly and overweight: “Really my only job is to look attractive,” Fox told the magazine.
“I was so angry about that, that I went in the opposite direction. I turned into a really butch bull dyke for, like, six months … Then I went in the other direction.
“From being a giant motorcycle-riding lesbian, I turned into a zombie. I lost, like, 30 pounds.”
In May 2009 Megan Fox hit the headlines for announcing she would never date a bisexual woman, despite being bisexual herself.

It’s inapplicable. It’s only on their money for overseas trade and to appease the few immigrants and nothing more. This is either marketing by her or plain made up lies by the media.

Anastasia ∼ June 19th, 2009 9:32 pmI gave her a pass on the “I wouldn’t date a bisexual” thing because I could imagine saying that sarcastically (not that any bi woman has ever, ever heard that from a lesbian, and certainly never on this site, no siree!) and the media just not getting it.
But now? Now I think she really needs to start watching what she says. Because, even if what she’s saying is, “I revolted against stereotyping and being treated like a living Barbie by deliberately subverting the mainstream concept of beauty and embracing a butch identity, but found it was not really me” (which is reasonable, and every woman’s right), and not actually saying “I think butch lesbians are ugly, so I tried being one” (which is stupid and insulting), she needs to understand that the media will not actually report that context.
She may be a sane queer person who isn’t media-savvy enough to recognise how what she says is liable to be twisted, or she may have a bunch of internalised homophobia, biphobia and sexism and be actually quite thick. Either way, she seriously needs lessons in media savvy and in responsible communication.
