McDonald’s release gay ad

McDonald’s has released an advert aimed at gay people.
The advert, to be aired in France, shows a teenager phoning his boyfriend to say “he misses him” after gazing at his face in a class photo.
His father then returns to the table with food, saying: “It’s a shame you’re in an all boys college. You would have had all the girls chasing you.”
The teenager then gives a knowing smile as they tuck into their fast food.
McDonald’s has said the advert – with the slogan ‘Come as you are’ – is intended to show that it welcomes people from all walks of life.
However it has come under fire on YouTube, where it has attracted over 600,000 views.
One viewer said: “I don’t understand – McDonald’s is simply saying that they will still serve you if you are gay.
“Thank you McDonald’s for not shunning people based on their sexuality.”
