IconWin tickets to Gigola film screening and afterparty

We have two pairs of tickets to give away for the Saturday screening of Gigola, part of the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival.

Gigola is a stylish and sexy thriller, set in the Parisian lesbian underworld of the 1960s. Director Laure Charpentier’s film evokes an era when femmes were femmes, butches paid for everything and sex was a way of life.

You can win one of two pairs of tickets to the sold-out screening on Saturday 2 April 2011, at 4pm. As an extra bonus you’ll also win tickets to the special after-show party at Candy Bar following the screening. Dress code for the afterparty at Candy Bar is Gigola/60s chic.

Please ensure you can travel to the screening / afterparty before entering the competition.

Gigola film screening: BFI Southbank, Belvedere Road, South Bank, London SE1 8XT
Candy Bar afterparty: Candy Bar, 4 Carlisle Street, London W1D 3BJ

If you don’t win tickets for Saturday’s sold-out screening you’ve got one more chance to see Gigola – there is a second matinee screening on Monday 4 April 2011 at 1.50pm.

The closing date for this competition is 12 noon on Friday 1 April 2011. This competition is now closed, thanks to everyone who entered.

Any thoughts on the 50% cut to this festival? I was very impressed that the Fringe Film festival, run by volunteers, took up the slack in an impressive 8 weeks to add back another four days of fun with films and events in East London. It’s important to have events women can go to that aren’t all based around bars and clubs!
