Yo! Majesty rapper jailed
Jwl B, singer/rapper of Christian lesbian hiphop duo Yo! Majesty, has been jailed in Florida on an assault charge.
Fellow rapper Shunda K says she is glad that Jwl B is behind bars, and that the band will continue performing without her.
“It’s unfortunate for her, but for me it’s actually a burden off my shoulders,” says Shunda. “It started being ridiculous the things she was doing. It’s actually divine intervention. I’m not sad. I’m relieved.”
“She’s heading down a road where she’s going to end up in jail, where she is, or dead. I just can’t be a part of it.”
Shunda says life on the road with Jwl has been difficult, with disputes over money, creative control and women sometimes turning physical.
“Now Yo! Majesty can be what it’s supposed to be, and that’s a relief for the people, instead of coming to a Yo! Majesty show and you’re feeling the tension between Jwl and me on stage. I just thank God for what’s going on.”
Shunda plans to perform with a DJ and dancers, and use backing tracks to fill Jwl’s singing parts.

Yo Majesty is a Christian band? I really didn’t realise.

I want to clarify the rumors because apparently there is alot of false information flying around. Jwl. B. is not out of the group Yo Majesty. She is still part of the group. Yes she is incarcerated but in the court of law a person is innocent until proven guilty. Shunda K. has been allowed to do the tour solo until Jwl. B. can join her. Jwl.B. is a great talent and she deserves the respect and the dignity that anyone else deserves. I personally know her of course and she is in fact a very kind and humble person who loves people, family and her close friends. She is a good person with a good heart and the world really needs to know that side of her. Shunda K. has passed around false allegations from the groups humble beginnings and she continues her underhanded antics behind the scenes. None of this helps the group in anyway and it definately hurts her credability in the public eye.

Hi this is Carrie Yates (personal assistant for Jwl.B. of Yo Majesty. Jwl. B. is out of Jail and will be touring without Shunda K. Shunda K. has dropped out of Yo Majesty. Joining Jwl.B. on Yo Majesty’s tour will be former member of Yo Majesty Shon B. According to Shunda K. she is focusing on her Shunda K. tour and leaving Yo Majesty and Domino records behind to persue her solo music. Domino records has confirmed that Shunda K. will not be continuing with the tour due to personal conflict with Domino and conflict of interest with the group.
